Small Projects Can Add Up to Big Money!
Tuesday, September 08, 2009

In this year of zero funding, our fundraising efforts are critical.  Here is a list of opportunities for you to help in small ways that can add up.  Together we can make a big difference!

Box Tops - General Mills has a small cardboard rectangle that you can cut out, send to school, and make a sizeable contribution!  Last year, Melissa Weidinger organized this fundraiser and earned $2,067 for Gulf Shores Elementary School!

Capri Sun Pouches and Chip Bags - Terracycle is a national company that buys recyclable items from schools and other nonprofit organizations and prepares the items for major companies to recycle into new containers, backpacks, purses you name it. So send in those Capri Sun pouches and chips bags from Frito Lay products. Chip bags include Lays, Sun Chips, Doritos, Cheetos, and Fritos.  Thanks to Machele Martin for getting us started!

Coca-Cola products - Send in Coke product bottle caps and cardboard fridge pack lids with the "official My Coke Rewards Code."  We will key the coke into the Coke website and they'll send us money.

Cartridges for Kids Recycling -  Don't throw away those ink cartridges!  Send in ink cartridges, cell phones, old electronic games, digital camers, ipods, DVD movies - basically anything electronic and Cathy Taylor will mail it in for money!

Bruno's Receipts - Send in your Bruno's receipt and we'll cash it in for a donation to the school.
